The beach is 1 hour from Orlando Florida if you go to Cocoa Beach. Daytona Beach is takes about 55 minutes, Clearwater Beach is two hours and 20 minutes from downtown Orlando Florida. The Orlando International Airport is about the same time to Clearwater Beach but closer timewise to Cocoa Beach. Daytona Beach is 1 hour and 15 minutes at 1 P on a Saturday.
Florida's Gulf Coast is a little further from Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach. Depending on your preferences both Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach are amazing locations and two of the best beaches in all of Florida and basically on a barrier island. Florida beaches are great in general but some have more rules and restrictions.
Wow, what a couple of amazing attractions and great things to do other than just visiting the beach. Imagine visiting the pristine sandy beaches and knowing you have speedway tickets. The Daytona 500 is something you have to see to appreciate. Not to mention Daytona Bike Week which is typically in March. Speaking of March, what a good time to hit the amusement park over at the Daytona Boardwalk and pier. Sounds like a great trip !
Oh boy buckle up for safety ! Less than 1 hour to the Florida's Space Coast and a group of the closest beaches to Orlando FL. Vero Beach and Cocoa Beach are just south of Cape Canaveral National Seashore and the Kennedy Space Center. Rocket launch anyone? Trust me if you get the chance it is more than worth getting as close as legally possible. All the makings of an exciting east coast trip to one of the amazing Florida Beaches near Orlando are given above.
Yes, I will take just a couple of minutes of your time to suggest Universal's Volcano Bay and the two beaches in Walt Disney World being Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Of these three I prefer Volcano Bay but all three are really fine. Great lazy rivers and how can you beat the drums alerting you to an upcoming wave in Volcano Bay? The only downside is the price of admission, but the price you would spend to get to an Atlantic Coast or Gulf Coast beach will offset it. I have to add Restaurant Row in Dr Phillips tells you there are restaurants nearby.
St Augustine Beach, Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach which are north of Daytona Beach. Melbourne Beach which is south of Cocoa Beach near the Indian River Lagoon.
If you are not a fan of racing, rocket launches or Bike Week I recommend St Pete Beach or Clearwater Beach. Deep sea fishing, soft white sand and beautiful west coast beach towns. St Petersburg Beach is not only a famous beach but also a very family friendly beach. See you soon at one of the many beaches near Orlando FL.
