Butler Bay/The Windermere Club is 11.25 miles (18 km) West-Southwest of downtown Orlando. It is West of Crescent Lake and sits on its shoreline. There is a lot of new construction going on in Windermere. That of course means there are many new homes for sale. I can schedule us to see several homes for sale in nearby areas if you prefer.

The Town of Windermere 

Windermere is famous for several things. Many beautiful homes for sale, various new shops and restaurants to choose from, its' local freshwater lakes, the Butler Chain of lakes, famous residents, great golf and the nearby theme parks. Locally it is also admired for its' good schools and the newly constructed Windermere High School. When you are looking at houses for sale anywhere in the Windermere area you may rest assured. After buying a home in Butler Bay/The Windermere Club if you are sitting around with nothing to do it is by choice.

About Butler Bay

The Windermere Club-Butler Bay consists of 160 homes. 60 homes are on lakefront lots on Lake Crescent.Lake Crescent is over 20 ft deep in places and has a surface area of 187 acres. Normally there are 5-10 homes for sale here. There is the Windermere Country Club in the middle of the community however it has been shut down. For Tennis etc go to the Windermere Recreation Center. It is just 3/4 of a mile East very popular and very nice. I have included some photos of it in the slideshow.

Local Schools 

Windermere Elementary, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School. Always confirm the schools with the county when looking at a home for sale. Information changes. If it is important to you I will check it. Or I can search for homes that are for sale by school zone. I am very familiar with the county website. I do not ever use the MLS for finding out which schools provide local education for a home or neighborhood.

Butler Bay/Windermere Club Market History

In the past 6 months 8 homes for sale have sold (Some homes for sale do not). The lowest priced home sold for $490,000 and the highest priced home sold for $926,000. The highest priced home for sale to have ever soldwas $258,000. However, the median sales price for the last 6 months has been in the high $700,000 range.

For the HOA expect around $125 per month. It will vary and there are restrictions. I will get you all the information you want upon request.
