Winter Garden Florida always has nice homes for sale. Winter Garden Fl. is a large city which is located on the Southeastern shore of Lake Apopka. The cities Northernmost point is Crown Point on Lake Apopka and its’ Southernmost Point is the Southern area of Braddock Park on Winter Garden Vineland Road. Oh, if it were that simple.
Winter Garden is a city that is associated with all of the 34787-zicode. Although the Southern portion of 34787 is actually not truly part of the city it is commonly referred to it. Just as 34786 is much larger than Windermere. It just goes to show if you have a great city, other communities want to associate with your city’s name.
One of the many things that are great about Winter Garden is the highway system. Many of us here have to commute to and from other areas in the Orlando area. Some will use the Florida Turnpike while others will use the Daniel Webster Western Beltway (the 429 Toll Rd.). I myself do not even have a Sunpass. I use the existing roads like SR 50. West Colonial will get you all of the way to downtown Orlando Florida toll free. It does take a little longer but you also pass a lot of shops and stores along the way. If I am going South I take other roads. To be honest my GPS is set to avoid tolls and I survive just fine.
Many people in Winter Garden Florida never leave the city for work. There are quite a few businesses in this town. Having a population that is basically exploding brings in jobs and service providers from all over. Soon the housing boom dust will settle and we will be left with all of the contemporary stores and theaters which have just now begun construction in Horizons West. I am sure some large companies will be following. There is just far too much land available there.
Recreation in Winter Garden centers around the lakes and outdoors. Windermere may be famous for the Butler Chain of Lakes but Winter Garden has some fairly good lakes also. John’s Lake is the focus in the City of Winter Garden right now. Communities like Hickory Hammock, Tidewater and Waterside are covering its shores with beautiful million-dollar homes by some of the best builders in this area.
To the South is Lake Hancock and Hickorynut Lake. Lake Hancock is the focus of Summerlake, Independence and Hamlin. Soon there will be several waterfront restaurants in Hamlin to complement the dine in Movie theater that is already under construction. Now open are a Walmart Supercenter and Publix Supermarket that are battling it out for the local shoppers benefit. Many other stores are already under construction and will probably be completed by mid to late 2018.
Waterleigh is doming Hickorynut Lake. As if the community was not already nice enough an even larger portion has started on the southern side. I recently saw a sign there for Waterleigh’s upcoming apartment complex. For Winter Garden, there is no turning back from modernization.
