There are only a hand full of these. Unless you are planning on spending $800,000 or more you will need to look at North Tampa. About 85% of the homes that have sold in the previous 2 years have cost over a million. One was almost $8,000,000 which is fairly steep even for Tampa FL.

Condos A Gated Community in Tampa FL?

If you search for gated community in South Tampa FL you will definitely see more than one condo on Bayshore Boulevard. Keep in mind that most of them are a gated community in the sense that the parking is secure. If you are looking at a higher end condo if you check it will have security access at the front lobby. For those reasons the condos should be included among the Tampa Gated communities.

Gated communities in NW Tampa FL

Allora and Avila are the two largest gated communities. Allora has a fairly high volume of sales. Avila is a luxury home and golfing community and certainly some valuable real estate. You will not see a much nicer community than Avila that is land locked. Allora is a newer DR Horton community. DR Horton builds a very nice home are one of the very few builders that build their two story homes concrete from ground to roofline.

Gated communities in NE Tampa FL

Hunters Green and Tampa Palms are your best options. There are a couple of smaller communities but gated communities are just a little rare here. There are several more including a 55+ with great amenities. Real estate is fairly affordable here if you are ok with a slightly older home. You will also like it here if you enjoy Florida parks.
