Lake Down Windermere FL  

Lake Down is number two in the Butler Chain of Lakes. Located just to the East of Windermere Florida, West of the Florida Turnpike and loaded with Lakefront homes. I also know that there are several buildable lakeview/lakefront lots if you want new construction on Lake Down.

Although not as well known as Lake Butler. Lake Down is a spectacular lake that looked a beautiful shade of blue today. I know it was a reflection off of the sky but I stopped and took several photos it looked so good. What a place to own a lakefront home.

Lake Down is 1.75 miles from its' furthest North point to its' furthest Southern and a little under 2 miles from its' furthest West to Furthest East points (running true West to East and not point to point). The surface area of Lake Down is 886 acres. A square mile is 640 acres so more than 1 1/3 square miles of surface area. With a mean depth of 20 feet which is one of the deepest lakes on the Butler Chain. Lake Down is a really awesome lake. More than enough lake to ski or race around on a  jet ski while others fish. Or watch all of that from your lakefront home's pool or back yard !

The most expensive lakefront home sold in the last six months was $2,700,000. The least expensive lakefront home on Lake Down sold in the last 6 months was $1,100,000. That in not lakeview. Both homes were on the water. Less than 1 year ago a home sold Lakefront home on Lake Down sold for $745,000. 

While plotting how I was going to list all of the subdivisions around Lake Down I came to a simplifying solution. I am going to list all of the lakefront homes/properties in three zones. There are so many small variations of subdivisions it would just be to confusing. So I simplified it for both you and I.
