There are many communities locally which are on the shores of beautiful lakes. Waterleigh is in the southern portion of Winter Garden and sets alongside Lake Hickorynut. A fine lake but no boat ramps. Plenty of boat docks but no public or private boat ramps. Prices for most lakefront homes for sale here are still under a million.

Johns Lake is probably the best lake to own a home on. Along the shores of the lake are numerous communities some of which are gated. The median price for a lakefront home there is still under 2 million dollars and that will get you an incredible home. I recently showed a lakefront lot on Lake Tibet and the lot alone was over 2 million. Winter Garden FL is definitely the place to search for lakefront homes for sale.

Lake Hancock in Horizon West

To the south is Lake Hancock. The homes there are probably in the best location overall. The homes for sale on Lake Hancock are all within a short dive of Walt Disney World and the area is rapidly becoming the place to be. New shops, entertainment and restaurants are everywhere. Better get one soon to because the prices are reflecting people's interest.
