Occasionally you see a community that has something for almost everybody. This is one of those communities. There are townhomes here and single family homes. The townhomes are on Murcott Blossom Blvd , Kinnow Mandarin Ln and Sweet Orange Avenue. The garages are in the rear and some of the townhomes actually look different front the rest at least in the front. The sizes of the townhomes are from 1,691 to 2,212 square feet. That is living space and does not include the garages. The First townhomes built here were built in early 2015 and there is still some building going on in the community. There is a lot of new construction going on in Horizons West and I was glad to see more homes in this price point become available. The traditional homes range in size from 1,657 to 4,051 square feet of living space. The 4,051 sf. home is the Sequencia. The Sequencia is a 2 story home and comes with 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bath and a 3 car garage. That is a whole lot of house. The prices range from $264,990 to $416,990 starting prices. The actual prices of homes that have sold have ranged from $254,490 to $545,000. The Photos in the slideshow are the amenities. The community pool is very nice and the dog park is actually fairly large. The Park area has a charcoal grill and the tennis courts have a textured surface on them. For the size of the community I believe the amenities are really nice. This community also has the children's playground that we have all grown accustomed to.
One of the best things about the Highlands at Summerlake Groves is it's location. Especially since the road has been finished and is now connected to Seidel Road. The Daniel Webster (429) Western Beltway can now be accessed by either going North or South just a couple of miles from the community. If you need to go South on the 429 you no longer have to go to New Independence Parkway to get on the 429.
Shopping from the community keeps getting better and better. The recently completed Publix Supermarket on Northern Hamlin Groves Trail is just 2.9 miles away. There are many other shops, stores and service providers already being built right next to it. If you prefer Walmart there is a Supercenter 3.5 miles away just past Publix. Soon the new theater will be opening.
The Schools scheduled to provide service to the Highlands at Summerlake Groves are Independence Elementary, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School.
