Windermere Ridge is 7.8 miles (12.6 km) West-Southwest of downtown Orlando. It is East of both Lake Down and Lake Apopka Vineland Rd. Being on the East Side of this Rd Places this gated community in Orlando. There is a lot of new construction going on in Windermere. That of course means there are many new homes for sale. I can schedule us to see several homes for sale in nearby areas if you prefer.

Windermere Ridge Area 

Windermere is famous for several things. Many beautiful homes for sale, various new shops and restaurants to choose from, its' local freshwater lakes, the Butler Chain of lakes, famous residents, great golf and the nearby theme parks. Locally it is also admired for its' good schools and that includes Olympia High School. Olympia High School is the school for this community. When you are looking at houses for sale anywhere in the Windermere area you can be confident you made a great decision.

About Windermere Ridge

Windermere Ridge is a gated community consisting of 92 homes. No homes are considered waterfront homes. Normally there are 2 homes for sale here. There is a park area on King George Dr that is very nice. The neighborhood is a very clean nice place to live. The homes seem in good shape and well maintained. I would move in without hesitation and very few people are as familiar with this area as I am. I do wish there was a gas station closer to the community.

Local schools

Windy Ridge Elementary, Chain of Lakes Middle School and Olympia High School. Always confirm the schools with the county when looking at a home for sale. Information changes. If it is important to you I will check it. Or I can search for homes that are for sale by school zone. I am very familiar with the county website. I do not ever use the MLS for finding out which schools provide local education for a home or neighborhood.
