The community consists of about 300 homes. The first homes in Westchester were built back in 1994 and the community was completed by 2002. There is a modest but nice community pool, children's playground and parking lot near the entrance.

The location is great for some people, around 12 homes sell here each year and the median sales price was $210,000 in the previous 12 months. The least expensive homes was $190,000 and the most expensive was just over $252,000. Not bad for a nice central FL community.

The Westchester area

Just under one mile away is the Publix Supermarket at Golden Eagle Village. However that is toward the north. If you go south you will see a lot more shops and service providers. Included is a Lowes Home Improvement and Walmart Supercenter before you reach US-192 less than 3 1/2 miles away.
