Scottish highlands is a large 55+ community in Leesburg Fl. Homes for sale there may be the traditional single family home type or condominiums. The community is located between Lake Eustis and Lake Griffin about 2 miles northeast of Leesburg International Airport.

The main entrance to Scottish Highlands is Scottish Highlands Blvd and it is located on the west side of Creek Road just north of Bassville Park. It is almost an equal distance drive to either downtown Tavares or Leesburg. Plenty of civilization just 5 minutes away. All of the shopping or restaurants you will need to accommodate your new lifestyle. This is an area filled with lakes and activities that cater to the 55+ crowd regardless of your interest.

The HOA

Scottish Highlands has a monthly HOA of around $150. That fee covers the care of common areas and access to the community pool and activities center shown above. It is larger than you would anticipate but so is the community. For the price of the HOA you would compare it to The Villages but the homes are much more affordable than The Villages. The settings are also vastly different. This is a more relaxed community and has a much more rural feel to it.
