River Crest is a gated community in Sanford Florida containing 117 homes. Homes for sale are common because of the size of the community. River Crest has only one entrance and it is located on the western side of Longwood Markham Road about 7 minutes from being able to access Interstate 4.
This portion of Sanford is filled with great communities. One of the reasons is the beauty. Having so many parks, preserves and trails here make it even better. The community is very classy but has a rural feel to it. If course it is not far from civilization but the hustle and bustle seem other worldly. If you drive around here for long you will understand. There is a reason so many Estate style homes are built in Sanford.
River Crest had it's first homes built in 1987. Filling out the community took twenty years. There are now 117 homes here and the last one was built in 2008 based on our records. There are no huge homes in this neighborhood. They houses were built in sizes ranging from 2057 square feet. Later as the desire for larger homes became more common the largest home 5,566 square feet was built. Still very respectable sizes for a community. Homes that have sold in the previous three years have been priced from $290,000 to $750,000.
