The Lakes of Windermere is located between Winter Garden Vineland Road Lake Sawyer and Overstreet Road. The community began construction in 2002 and was finished by 2013. There are a wide variety of settings for homes in the community. Some of the homes overlook the park, the large ponds and there are some homes that have sold for over one million dollars on Lake Sawyer.

Commuting

There are several things that make this an attractive community. Primarily the location. The proof of that is there are several newer communities which have been built just south of Overstreet Road. You can easily get to anywhere in the area from one of the entrances to the Lakes of Windermere including Disney, the golf courses or the Daniel Webster for commuting. There are 2 Publix supermarkets very nearby and several shops, stores and service providers.

The competition for your housing dollar is fierce in this area. That has caused many of the nice homes in this area which were built after 2000 to sell for some really competitive prices. Lakes of Windermere is in the Orange County Public School District. You can visit their site at OCPS.net or call to confirm the schools at 407-317-3200. Another good alternative is GreatSchools.org . Either way Windermere Schools are great. Currently the assigned schools are Sunset Park Elementary School, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School. That information should be confirmed before making an offer to purchase.
