Lake Forest is a community of approximately 630 homes in Sanford Fl. Lake Forest is likely one of the most desirable locations in the city of Sanford. There are many waterfront properties and the neighborhood is very near not only Interstate 4 but all of the shopping and entertainment this area has to offer. The gated community entrance is on the northern side of West State road 46 less than 1 mile west of Interstate 4.
One of Lake Forest's attractions is the 10,000+ square foot clubhouse located on shoreline Circle and overlooking the large pond in the center of the community. There you will find the fitness center and many sports courts. The pool is overlooking a beautifully landscaped area that is not only pleasing to the eyes but seems to effortlessly maximize the space available. No doubt this is one of the best community centers I have seen.
Of course the most important thing is the homes. The community is filled with attractive homes and may waterfront luxury homes. There are portions of the community which are more affordable but this is primarily a luxury home community. Over 1/2 of the homes are waterfront or back up to the wooded areas. A lot of effort went into developing this attraction.
The first homes were built in 1989 however there were some homes built in 2017. This after all is a community that is very large. The smallest homes are 2,000 square feet and the largest in our records are 6,591 square feet of living area. The larger homes typically have sold for $1,399,000 to $1,999,000. The median priced home in the previous three years has sold for $571,000.
