Lake Cawood Estates is 12.75 miles (20.5 km) West-Southwest of downtown Orlando. It is located on Winter Garden Vineland Rd. 2 3/4 miles South of the 429.There is a lot of new construction going on in Windermere. That of course means there are many new homes for sale. Windermere is famous for several things. Many beautiful homes for sale, various new shops and restaurants to choose from, its' local freshwater lakes, the Butler Chain of lakes, famous residents, great golf and the nearby theme parks. Locally it is also admired for its' good schools and the newly constructed Windermere High School. When you are looking at houses for sale anywhere in the Windermere area you can be confident. After buying a home in Lake Cawood Estates if you are sitting around with nothing to do it is by choice.
Lake Cawood Estates consists of 33 home sites. Half of the homes could be considered waterfront homes because they overlook one of the ponds. Normally there are not homes for sale here. Windermere High School is located directly across Winter Garden Vineland Rd and is supposed to startup next school year. A Stoplight has already been put up in front of Cawood Estates. Also a large shopping complex is scheduled to be built next to the high school.
Keene's Crossing Elementary, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School. Always confirm the schools with the county when looking at a home for sale. Information changes. If it is important to you I will check it. Or I can search for homes that are for sale by school zone. I am very familiar with the county website. I do not ever use the MLS for finding out which schools provide local education for a home or neighborhood.
In the past 12 months 3 homes for sale have sold (Some homes for sale do not). The lowest priced home sold for $600,000 and the highest priced home sold for $1,7450,000. The highest priced home for sale to have ever sold was $1,745,000. However if you take that home out of the equation the median sales price for the last 24 months has been $580,000.
For the HOA expect around $1500 per year. It will vary and there are restrictions. I will get you all the information you want upon request.
