Lake Ashton is a beautiful 55+ gated community located about 52 miles due east of downtown Tampa Fl. The homes in Lake Ashton are woven through a golf course and between Rattlesnake Lake and Lake Ashton.
Not only is this community placed almost equal distance to east and west coasts of Florida but with Highway 27 just 1 mile to its' east it is close to the theme parks in southwestern Orlando. However one thing we all look for in 55+ communities is activities. We want to live around smiling happy people and enjoy the times that we are not having visitors. That is why I chose to create this page for Lake Ashton and place it in my 55+ directory.
Lake Ashton in Lake Whales consists of almost 2 square miles. it is very large and filled with places to take photos or show off to visitors. There are the lakes, boat ramps and boat storage. You can even store an RV here. If you are a golfer, or a golf carter like me there are 2 golf courses here. If you are a fitness junkie like me there is a 30,000 square foot health and fitness center. To make it even more inviting there is a lifestyle director and Activity staff.
If you are looking for a central FL 55+ community that promotes active lifestyles and quality of life this one should be on your short list.
