Kelso on Lake Butler in Windermere FL is a little known community mostly of lakefront homes. There is no reason for a gated entrance here because of such a low volume of traffic. There is only one entrance to the community and it is mostly trafficked by residents, workers and guests.

The directions to the community are fairly easy. Get off of the 429 at Winter Garden Vineland Rd and head south. About 1 mile south you will pass Lake Butler Blvd on your left. Stay on Winter Garden Vineland Rd but make sure you are in the left lane.

The next traffic light you come to turn left onto W Lake Butler Rd. After heading East for 1 mile the West Lake Butler Rd turns South. In 1/2 of a mile you will be there. The Kelso on Lake Butler sign is low and to the right. There are only 2 street names in the community, West Lake Butler Rd and Kelso Blvd. 

The HOA

The HOA on the home that was up for sale for $3,500,000 was just $750 paid annually. Right about now if you are living in one of the $300,000 dollar townhomes in Windermere you are pretty upset. A side note, some of the million dollar homes in Chaine Du Lac have no HOA.
