Howell Creek Reserve is a gated community. The sign is somewhat obscured by trees and there is only one sign on the right hand side of the entrance. The entrance is located on Vista Willa Drive less than 1/2 of a mile south of SR 434. There is a Speedway gas station and Dunkin Doughnuts on the corner of the 434 and Vista Willa Drive. Shopping is about 2 1/2 miles west at the Winter Springs Town Center. It is large and modern. If you are not familiar with it just know that it could fit in at any larger city. Commuting from Howell Creek Reserve is also fairly easy because the 417 is less than 1 mile away. The 417 takes you by the Orlando International Airport and on to Celebration. Northward it will take you around the cities to Interstate-4.

Howell Creek Reserve has several ponds and waterfront homes. There is also a basketball court, community swimming pool and children's playground.
