The Windermere Community

The Windermere Club/Butler Bay is in Windermere Florida. The Windermere Club is located north of Lake Butler Blvd. on the western shore of Lake Crescent. The entrance is clearly marked and there is a northern entrance as well. The northern entrance is on the south side of McKinnon Rd. between Lake Crescent and Lake Roberts.

 There are currently around 150 homes sites in the Windermere Club. The subdivision is commonly called Butler Bay, Windermere Club/Butler Bay and a couple of other variations. Let it suffice to say this is a gated subdivision that is recovering from some turmoil and moving forward with leaps and bounds. This is an amazingly beautiful community.

Several of the homes here are going through modernization. The move forward has begun and there are some beautiful homes in the Windermere Club. Many are on the water and many are on the remains of the course. 

Nature is taking its’ course until a more acceptable remedy is found. I am sure several investors are watching for the opportunity to develop it. I think it would be best left alone or turned into a park. The community is beautiful and deserves it. Regardless there are better days ahead and the turmoil is in the past and we move forward.
