After deciding where you want to live you will no doubt begin your research. That research will possibly include the crime, traffic, cost of living and the public schools. Most crime is avoidable, traffic is always bad at certain times of day, the cost of living is a little high for housing but there is no state income tax. The best way to research the schools is online and greatschools.org or one of the many sites like it.

Visiting Homes For Rent to Make Your Choice

This is the fun part or atleast it can be. Most people will visit 4-8 homes before they make their choice. In Florida you're better off making the choice quickly of your request may end up in a pile of others. Below are some tips to help you get started.

• Repair your credit and rental history if needed

• Prepare to pay 3 times your monthly rent up front

• Expect to need at lease 3 times the monthly income that the rent is set at.

• As a general rule if you have pets only view homes which allow them. Expect a non-refundable pet deposit to be required.

• Every adult will have to have their name on the lease and be careful about parking and vehicle restrictions.

How To Get A Realtor To Assist You

This part is rather challenging. Even if you try to get the listing agent's phone number they probably will not answer. If that is the route you go be sure to make note of the office they are working for so if needed you can try to call it instead. Normally on Zillow or Realtor etc. the Listing agents are listed at the top of the other Realtors. The 3 links below re to the greater metro areas of those cities. Because the amount that owners pay for Realtors to find tenants is so minimal, often hard to collect and people will want to view so many homes before deciding many Realtors will not assist you. If they do they are going to go broke fairly shortly in many instances.
