Emerald Island Resort in Orlando Florida is a community of approximately 500 traditional homes and 140 townhomes. Emerald Island is located 5.7 miles from Disney’s Blizzard Beach and just 11 miles from EPCOT. The community is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you drive up and comes with many resort amenities.
The amenities at Emerald Island include a large clubhouse with a large lounge, business center, arcade room, well equipped fitness center and sauna. There is an 11-acre woodland in the middle of the resort with beautiful nature trails shaded by mature oaks and cooled by the Florida breeze. Multiple gazebos, tennis courts, basketball courts, well maintained children’s playgrounds and other features.
If all of this sounds good to you then you’re right. The community is actually surrounded by a preserve making it feel more like a private retreat. Combine that with the gated and guarded entrance and you have your own home, or home away from home is a fantastic place. There are even quite a few waterfront homes thanks to the large ponds. The entrance to Emerald Island Resort is located just off of Funie Steed Rd about 200 yards from the Daniel Webster Western Beltway. Locally called the 429. For those times you need to shop for groceries it is a mere 1.5 miles east on Funie Steed Rd. to Formosa Gardens Village. There is a Supermarket there, numerous restaurants, shops and a large miniature golf course.
Emerald Island Resort has both traditional homes and townhomes. Any homes for sale will be featured below. The resort began construction in 2002 and was completed by 2006. The homes are owned by investors and private owners who choose to live here. Many people buy these resort homes and rent them out when they are not in the area. I know of several people who got addicted and actually live full time in a similar community.
The traditional homes vary in size from 1,168 square feet to 3,859 square feet of living area. As you can see there is a home for everyone. The largest floor plan includes 7 bedrooms and 5 or 6 baths. The townhomes are available from 1,241 square feet to 1,645 square feet of living space.
