Windermere is famous for several things. Many beautiful homes for sale, various new shops and restaurants to choose from, its' local freshwater lakes, the Butler Chain of lakes, famous residents, great golf and the nearby theme parks. Locally it is also admired for its' good schools and the newly constructed Windermere High School. When you are looking at houses for sale anywhere in the Windermere area you may rest assured. After buying a home in Eden's Hammock if you are sitting around with nothing to do it is by choice.

About Eden's Hammock

Eden's Hammock consists of around 100 townhome and single family homes. Most of which could be considered waterfront homes because they overlook one of the ponds or lakes. Normally there are not  homes for sale here. Only about 6 sell per year. There is a park area in the middle of the Summerport community with a nice pool and a children's play area. There is also a nice path around the large pond in the center of the community. Some homes here have access to the pool. Some say they do not. However we can confirm this for the home you are interested in.

Local schools 

Keenes Crossing Elementary, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School. Always confirm the schools with the county when looking at a home for sale. Information changes. If it is important to you I will check it. Or I can search for homes that are for sale by school zone. I am very familiar with the county website. I do not ever use the MLS for finding out which schools provide local education for a home or neighborhood.

Eden's Hammock market history

In the past 12 months 7 homes for sale have sold (Some homes for sale do not). The lowest priced townhome sold for $200,000 and the highest priced home sold for $217,500. The highest priced home for sale to have ever sold was $307,000. However, the median sales price for the last 12 months has been $209,000.
