Casa Del Lago is a gated community in Windermere FL. Casa Del Lago is located on the Northwestern shore of Lake Burden. The communities only entrance is located on the Eastern end of Overstreet Rd. Overstreet Rd. is on the Western Side of Winter Garden Vineland Rd.
Lake Burden is a beautiful lake with a surface area of 125-acres. That is a perfect size for fishing or smaller fishing or skiing boats. Casa Del Lago has the best location to take advantage of that beautiful Florida sunshine. This community has modern homes built by several popular builders. The looks of the homes are stunning which is why they flew off the shelf when the community began construction. Keene’s Pointe and the Lake Burden community also have homes located on the lake so competition for housing buyers is fierce. Casa Del Lago is doing just fine. The homes are more modern and would hold their own up against any Windermere community.

The Local Schools for this community are Sunset Park Elementary School, Bridgewater Middle School and Windermere High School. You can confirm the schools for any community here. Local shopping from this neighborhood will likely be Lakeside Village for most items. There is a Publix Supermarket, Immediate Care Clinic, Gas Station, Ladies Salon and several restaurants and other shops. There is also a Walgreens Drug Store, Pool Supply and Pizza Delivery ½ of a mile from this neighborhood.
Casa Del Lago (house on the lake) is a community of 88 luxury homes. Of those 88 beautiful homes 22 homes are lakefront on Lake Burden. 10 homes are waterfront homes on a pond on the western side and 47 homes are community homes. By community homes I mean the type homes which have only the status of the community. Casa Del Lago has one other great feature. It has no homes next to busy highways or power lines. The Winter Garden Vineland Rd. is over 600 feet from the closest Casa Del Lago home and the powerlines I was referring to are on the North side of Chase Rd. over ¼ of a mile to the North.
The community homes in Casa Del Lago are on (Odd Numbered Homes) Montalcino Cir. and a mixture of house numbers on Sangalla Dr. You will have to drive through this community to fully appreciate it. Soon it will be complete and you will only be able to see the fountain by the entrance gate unless you have approved access.
The homes were built in sizes ranging from 2,336 to 4,285 square feet of living space. If you from outside of the US when we say living area it means heated and cooled portions of the home. It does not include garage spaces. Many of these homes have 3 car garages. The homes will all be completed by the end of 2018 and the first one was built in 2007. The reason I will always give the year built is because in Florida certain warranties are mandated by law on new construction homes. The longest mandated warranty is 10 years. In the previous year 4 homes have sold for an average price of $721,000. That is a fairly good price for this area and this type of community.
The Waterfront Casa Del Lago Homes
There are only 10 homes on the pond. These are technically waterfront homes and in Casa Del Lago Windermere Florida, or anywhere in Windermere that means something. Namely a better view and more fun on the back deck. It also means a little more expense but the last time I checked, we only live once. I currently live on the water and really like it. These 10 waterfront homes were built between the years of 2009 and 2012. They were built is sizes ranging from approximately 3,000 square feet to 3,964 square feet of living space. Those are large enough sizes for most people’s needs or wants. The homes originally sold for prices ranging from $534,000 to $843,000. For a Windermere address those are fairly comparable numbers.
Casa Del Lago on Lake Burden
The lake may not be a member of the Butler Chain of Lakes but it is absolutely beautiful. The water is clear and beautiful. The homes on the water are of course quite incredible as well. In the slideshow are some photos of a home on Lake Burden and its’ dock. A stunning $2,000,000 home.
The homes on the lake were built in sizes ranging from approximately 4,008 square feet to 5,894 square feet and there are still a couple of homes to be built. Several of the homes have all of the latest technology and you can even control the spas from your smartphone. The first homes on the lake were built in 2012 and they should all be finished by 2019. These homes have sold for prices up to $1,900,000 and I expect the $2,000,000 will likely be broken in 2018.
