Oxford Moor is a community of 85 homes. It is a gated community and uses video surveillance. If you do not live in the community then you must present photo ID to a camera and speak to a guard over an intercom. It really is a good system and I have never had a problem with it.

From the gates you can see the huge pond and fountains that are Oxford Moors’ centerpiece. The pond is bigger than some local lakes. It measures 1,750 feet from North to South. There is a community park on the Western side of the entrance. It has a nice children’s play area and 2 tennis courts.

The community has faced some challenges of late but greater things are coming. The advent of the construction of Windermere High School took away from of the natural serenity. The orange groves to the neighborhoods west were removed and replaced with the Windermere Village shopping complex. The latter had a positive effect on an already spectacular community.
