Living on a lake. I myself currently live on Speer Lake. I usually watch the sun come up every morning. Late in the evening we get an incredible breeze off the lake. So I leave my window open and have a miniature tornado in my bedroom. I'll stop right there. Anyway you get the point. I really like it. I have lived on other lakes in south Florida as well.

I pretty much know the ins and outs of living on lakes. What kind of lake I like and which ones should probably be called ponds. You should be able to water ski on a lake. You should be able to put a island in a lake without it looking like someone is trying to fill in your pond.

A lake is a wonderful place to live. It is a separate lifestyle. Our bodies are mostly water and in a way it is calling us home. If you have ever lived on the water you will probably miss it. If you never have you definitely need to try it.

There are some tricks to make it more enjoyable. I will give you one right now. Outside your home use Sodium or LED lights. They do not emit UV light. Hence they do not attract bugs.

The Butler Chain of lakes consists of 11 Lakes. They are Lakes Butler, Down, Tibet, Pocket, Louise, Chase, Sheen, Little Fish, Blanch and Down. All are nice lakes to live on. All are close to the real world. All are close enough to the necessities of living in the 21st century.

So here is some information on what to expect when you are looking to rent a home on a lake in Windermere Florida. People here know what their homes are worth. People here know that there is only so much Lakefront property.

That being said you can expect to pay for the use of someone's lakefront home. The least expensive one for rent as of the time I am writing this is $2500 a month and guess what. I can tell by the address it is on a pond but has lake access. Another good thing about having a Realtor with local knowledge. And Google maps. 

Tip for the readers. People who live on lakes and post their homes for sale of for rent will normally put a picture of the lake in there somewhere. If you do not see one google the address before driving to it. If it looks like to good of a deal. It probably is.
