No you cannot paddle board in Lake Eola Park. Paddle boarding, boating, canoeing, kayaking and flotation devices are all prohibited unless you have written approval for special events. Currently you will have to settle for a paddleboat tour on one of the swan boats. Paddling with two is advised and up to 5 total per boat.
There is always something to do in downtown Orlando. Don't be to disappointed if a paddle board is not included. Winter Park and the Winter Park Chain of Lakes is nearby. Not only is paddleboarding allowed there you can even pay to go on a paddleboarding tour when you visit. You will see all types of Florida wildlife and since you rent then you only have to worry about having fun with the family and not cleaning your ride later. Yes, first timers are welcome on the Winter Park chain.
Start of at Katie's Landing where there is a launch site for canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. As you can see there is much more here in the Orlando area than Lake Eola. In fact there are plenty of places within a close proximity to paddleboard Orlando. You may even want to visit Windermere FL and the Butler Chain of Lakes.
