There is a Publix Supermarket and many other services, stores and restaurants there. This same entrance is within 4 miles of Health Central Hospital, Walmart Supercenter, Lowes Hardware, West Oaks Mall and AMC 14 West Oaks Cinema.

The Grove and the Shoppes at Windermere are 2.3 miles to the South from the entrance on Hempel Ave. More supermarkets and stores are there. Universals Orlando Resort and downtown Orlando are within 20 minutes of Windermere Downs.
