Wickham park is a fairly large community. It contains approximately 56 traditional single-family homes and 245 townhomes. The neighborhood is really nice. It has several large open areas, two large community ponds and 3 courtyards. The main courtyard is at the amenities center and has the community pool, adequate parking and a very nice gazebo on the Southwestern end. All 3 courtyards have nice sidewalks and are very well landscaped. When you combing the courtyards with the two ponds which both have sidewalks all of the way around them there are more than enough exercise trails for most people.
Below I am going to be describing sections of the community. Homes come in different sizes, styles and settings. Some prefer waterfront, some looking over a park etc. I will put enough information below that when you find a home you like you can know about the area that it is in also. When you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and/or getting a mortgage knowledge is power.
As you enter the community on Bentonshire Ave you will see the first townhomes on your left. There are over 50 townhomes in this part alone These townhomes have the garage in the rear and most of them are not attached to the townhomes. You are also allowed to park in front of the homes. These townhomes vary in size from 1,228 sf. to 1,866 sf. of living space. Most of these homes were built in 2007-2008. In the previous 3 years 7 of them have sold. They sold for prices ranging from $175,000 to $240,000.
The waterview townhomes are on Calderdale Ave. and overlook the pond on the Northeastern corner. There are 23 of these townhomes. All of the townhomes in Wickham Park have the garages in the rear. The pond is a large pond and has an exercise trail around it. The townhomes overlooking the pond were built in sizes ranging from approximately 1,480 square feet to 1,561. They were built between the years of 2009 to 2011. In the last 3 years only 3 have sold and they averaged about $210,000.
Townhomes overlooking the three center courtyards.
There are 67 townhomes which overlook the central courtyards. They are on Maslin St., Billingham St., Sutherton Ln. and Emersondale Ave. The courtyards are definitely a focal point in this community. We all have preferences when it comes to views from our homes. A beautiful courtyard is going to be more popular than some of the other options. The townhomes were built in sizes varying from 1,420 square feet to 1,798 square feet of living space. The townhomes were built between 2008 and 2012. In the last 3 years 15 homes overlooking the courtyards have sold. They ranged in price from $198,000 to $229,000.
The remaining townhomes
The remaining townhomes are community townhomes. They have no special view or location other than being in Wickham Park. These homes are just fine for most of us. They may still have a good view. The townhomes in Wickham Park vary in size from 1,350 square feet to 1,857 square feet of living space. The community was built from 2007 to 2012. In the last 3 years 20 of these homes have sold in Wickham Park. They sold for prices ranging from $195,000 to $220,000.
Single Family Waterfront Homes
The traditional single-family homes only have 2 real groupings. Waterfront and community homes. There are 11 waterfront homes on the Southwestern Pond. They are located on Bosworth Ave. These homes were built in sizes ranging from approximately 1,600 square feet to 2,200 square feet of living space. They were built in 2012. In the last 5 years only 1 home has sold and it sold for $260,000. There are some which should sell for considerably more.
The remaining Traditional Homes.
There are 45 more homes throughout Wickham Park. Some of them even have better than average views. These homes range in size from approximately 1,583 square feet to 2,450 square feet of living space. Plenty of room for most peoples’ needs. These homes were built from 2007 to 2012. In the last 5 years 20 homes have sold with a median price of $256,000.
Shopping from Wickham Park will likely be the Lakeside Village. There is a Publix Supermarket there. There is also a very popular salon, a pet store and an immediate care clinic. If you like there is even a couple of restaurants. After you eat you can go join the gym there. Most importantly it has one of the few gas stations in all of Windermere Florida. All conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Wickham Park.
