It's west side being South Apopka Vineland Rd and it's eastern Side being Dr. Phillips Blvd. It has over 500 homes in the community. The majority of which were built in the late 1970's and 1980's.

There is no community pool and there are very few waterfront homes in this community. Hence very few homes for sale in Sand Lake Hills are waterfront. However it is a very well shaded neighborhood and is pleasant to drive through.
