The community

Lake Mabel is a beautiful lake and a lucky group of people have discovered it. There are not many home here but they all get the waterfront lake Mabel sunrise every morning. All the homes on Lake Mabel Shores face either due East or Southeast. Which is great because Lake Mabel is actually three quarters of a mile across is you measure East to West. North to South it is 1.4 miles completely but the main body (usable view) is about 1 mile. Lake Mabel is a 394 acre lake with a respectable mean depth of 14 feet. It is one of the more secretive and beautiful lakes in the area. There is a boat launch in Royal Ranch Estates which is on the Northern portion of the lake.

Lake Mabel Drive

On Lake Mabel Drive you will see several types of homes. Even in the early 1900's people wanted to live on the lakes in this area. Not to worry the oldest home on this street was built in 1925 but most of the homes are much newer. The homes here vary in size from approximately 1,724 sf. to 7,200 sf. There are some castles on the Southern end of Lake Mabel Dr. The trick is catching one for sale.

The local area

This area has been going through a lot of modernization which is a good thing. Immediately to the West is Mabel Ridge which is a nice community also. But most importantly the conveniences we have all grown accustomed to  are very nearby now. The Lakeside Shopping Village is right around the corner and has the Lakeside Publix and has many shops, banks etc. next to it.
