It has 1,579 acres of surface area and is approximately 7,433 million gallons. Most importantly it is the prettiest and if you get lake water in your mouth and everybody eventually does, you don't have to get rushed to the hospital.

There are several ways to enjoy a lake but one of the best ones is by boat. If you have your own boat and do not live in the area then you need a place that will allow you to launch. Or you need to rent a boat and have them meet you at the launch.

R. D. Keene's Park is a great place for both. If you are lucky as I was last time you get there and launch for free. Also non powered boats launch for free. You can also go to the launch on Lake Down located on Conroy Windermere Rd. That launch is a launch and leave. In other words no parking your boat trailer there after you launch.

Below is a list of the communities in clockwise order to From Noon which would be Metcalf Park to Chaine Du lac.
