First things first. A little about the more and less famous theme parks here in Central Florida. Everyone knows about Walt Disney World and Universal Studios but those are just a very small sample of what is available. Not only do they have sub-sections but there are some great albeit smaller theme parks here in Orlando Florida. Some of the resorts have amazing parks within them.

Chief among the Orlando theme parks is the Magic Kingdom but the most recent success is the now world famous Wizarding World Harry Potter Other attractions in the Walt Disney World include the Animal Kingdom which is filled with exotic animals and a couple of great water parks. When you visit Orlando in the summer, great water parks provide a pleasant break.

A little bit more adult oriented then the Magic Kingdom is/are all things Universal. This theme park is the favorite of my family and most teen agers as well. located just north of Disney and highly visible from Interstate-4 Universal Studios & Hollywood Studios is a great theme park to spend an entire day. Shopping malls are minutes away and so are some award winning restaurants on Restaurant Row. Restaurant Row is a popular destination Orlando offers for some of the more affluent residents and tourist alike.

Being the Sunshine State The attractions would not be complete without the best water park on the planet. One with something for the whole family and better than any at Disney. That would be Volcano Bay. Come early, rent a cabana for your family and expect to be pleasantly surprised. There are even sections for the children you will have to drag tm away from. This is not a Mickey Mouse theme park.

Actually the reasons why the theme parks were built here was the location and weather. Tampa Florida and the best natural beaches in Florida are 2 hours west, the Kennedy Space Center are just under 2 hours to the east.
